Here are some tips to help you take full advantage of Double Your December:

Know the game you’re in

Make sure you fully understand the program! Print out the rules and study them so you understand what to do and what the rewards are.

Always keep a copy of the Cruise details and Comp Plan with you to offer clear instructions and coach your team.

Assess and evaluate your team

Go to your online Distributor Office and print a list of your team. Contact them and refresh yourself with their updates and what their current goals and dreams are.

Let them know about Double Your December. You can be like a football coach planning to win the Super Bowl. Some of your team will need more training, some need to be benched and — no matter what — you will need to be out there recruiting new talent. It’s the name of the game.

Know what they want and why they want it

A secret to keeping your team motivated is to know what they want and why they want it. Use follow-up cards, Outlook, Google Contacts, a binder … whatever you need to keep track of their desires. Then you can emotionalize their “wants.” For example, someone wants a mountain home. Why? So they can go up there on weekends with their kids and grandkids. Remind them of the house, plus all those fun family game nights in the mountains. See the difference. It keeps people in the game when they get discouraged and distracted.

Develop a strategy

Be sure you spend at least one hour with each team member who tells you they want to go for rank Advancement. Your 21TEN business is a business, after all. And, when you learn to teach your team members how to work a plan, you also develop a clear strategy for yourself. To do this you ask questions.

  • How much time do you have to invest?
  • How much money do you want to earn?
  • How many people can you put on a list?

When you have your answers you are able to show them what they need to do, how many people to talk to daily, etc. …

Build and develop momentum

Our CVO, Richard Brooke, tells us one of the key components of all successful Distributors is the momentum. Go for it every day for at least 90 days. Develop some thrust and power. It is then that you will see the energy that gets created and you will see the synergistic effects of working full out for at least 90 days. This also sets a great example for your team.

Monitor and follow up

I have been in this business long enough to know that anybody can say anything. People may want things, but it is people’s actions that let us know if they’re actually going to do it. Keep good records. Call team members back and see how their call went (or their presentation). Find out if they invited anyone to look at the Vision Video or handed any out. How did they like the Saturday call, etc.

It is by asking questions and responding like a good coach that you will begin to see results and growth in your team in the area of rank Advancements, and Double Your Points in December will make it all the more worth the effort!

Controlled Predictable Income = Security

When I got into this industry back in 1983 – a single mom with seven kids to support – I was carrying a heavy burden and looking for security for my family, and peace of mind for me.

I wanted to develop a check that would pay my mortgage, not just once in a while, but every month, so I could stop running a day care out of my house and just focus on the needs of my own seven children.

So, I began to look for ways to create that. I went to my sponsor, Rosemary, with my concern about my up and down checks. She told me it was a sign of inconsistency, so we began a program that would teach me and my team one of the most basic principles we would need for success in our business.

What I love about it is, it also leads to mastery in anything you do, and that is just a great habit to build and teach. “Repetition is the Mother of all Skill,” she often said to me when I hadn’t mastered a presentation, a story or a teaching principle.

Just do it over and over until it becomes second nature. It’s just the simple basics repeated consistently every day that build a consistent check every month. And you can take that to the bank, consistently!

  • Talk to people, every day
  • Make presentations, every day
  • Follow up, every day
  • Train someone, every day
  • Communicate inspirational thoughts and ideas to encourage your team, every day

As an added bonus, when you show up and actually do the simple basics every day, you will find that is how momentum is built and that leads to a lot more than the security of a mortgage payment.

Super Saturday Success!

It’s no secret that I am super excited about Super Saturdays!

Follow the Success Formula and you will see your team growing right before your eyes. Just ask Mike Herlihy, Annette Machado, Kyle Porter, John & Colleen Riddle or Billy Murphy what can happen in the aftermath of a Super Saturday! The formula really works in creating powerful results from Super Saturdays.

Success Formula for a Successful Super Saturday:

Step 1

Get yourself and your team on the Saturday Call, every Saturday! If for a very good reason you miss the live call, be sure you make a point to listen to the replay immediately, that same weekend. That call is your weekly dose of National Inspiration & Corporate news. You’re going to need this for step two.

Step 2

The Weekly Get-Together. You must either be hosting your own if you are attempting to build a team and residual income or you must attend one if you are new. Every week, same time, same place. Step 3

The Super Saturday

A Super Saturday is held once a month. It should be at the same location and same date each month (for example, the second Saturday of the month). Do this so people begin to see the consistency and support that is available to them. It sends a message that they belong to a company that is serious about training and support. This breeds confidence in your team and in yourself.

Location

Generally, the Super Saturday should be held at a hotel with easy access from a major freeway. Put thought into the best central location for your area. Scout out the meeting room and pay close attention to the feel of the hotel. Is it warm and friendly? Is there a restaurant and great meeting space? Can you negotiate a great deal with them for repeat meetings?

Set-up

If you have a large group of 50 people or more, you’ll need a riser or small stage, plus a microphone. Play lively music, songs that inspire people. Have prizes for drawings, name tags and a captivating product display.

Greet guests with a registration table. The sign in sheet should request the following info:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email
  • Distributor ID or Guest Of

Name tags with plenty of Sharpies should be on the table, next to tickets for your drawing. I use a 6 foot table to provide plenty of space for this, and I use a basket for drawing tickets.

The signage is important.

Post professionally printed 21TEN and Life Shotz advertisements. You can go into the back office and select signs and banners that can be blown up at Fed Ex/Kinkos or Staples for a professional image. You want to create a positive presence of 21TEN in the hotel. Make sure your easel advertisements direct people to the meeting room.

Decorating is also important. Make it fun.

Balloons are a great way to create a fun professional look, inexpensively. Don’t forget to hand out a pre-printed information sheet for all guests, outlining the basic agenda, lunch and the approximate end time.

There’s a few ways you can set up the room. Let the hotel know what style you need:

Preferably, the room should be set up ‘classroom style.’ This means you use tables and chairs to give your guests a comfortable learning environment. Place pitchers of water without ice on the tables or at the back of the room.

If you’re cramped for space, ‘theatre style’ is best. This is especially helpful if you get a larger turnout than expected. This style is simply chairs set side by side, sans tables.

I like to have a data projector and an internet connection for my laptop so I can train directly from the back office and teach people how to navigate our website and introduce them to their resources.

It’s also a good idea to have a flip chart or white board available. For crowds of 75+ you will want to use an “Elmo” or document camera rather than a whiteboard.

I use my iPad with two small Bose speakers to have lively music playing before, after, and during breaks.

Lively and inspirational music sets the energy for the day… don’t underestimate this critical piece.

Agenda / Flow

9:30am- Registration/social time, meet and greet.
All leaders, speakers, and greeters should be in the room and ready to present.

10:00am- Start promptly with an on-time drawing. (I use the business building tools as prizes.) Thank everyone and explain the benefits of being on time.

10:05am- Welcome and introductions.

10:00 to 11:00am- This is Belief Building and giving guests information about who we are, what the business is and can be for them, and the benefits of Life Shotz. I show the Vision Video first, follow up with my story, and then have 4 or 5 pre-selected 3-5 minute testimonials. Invite your guests to enroll with the BBK and show them what they get with it using the enrollment tab online.

11:00am- 20 minute break to allow people to enroll or leave.

11:20am- Present your local leaders. If there is no one qualified yet, use video testimonials online.

12:30pm- Take a 1 to 1.5 hour lunch break. Encourage your group to stay together for lunch.

1:30 2:30pm- Presentation of Prospecting and Inviting. Guide them to the ‘Tools’ section in the back office and visit the Bliss Business website.

2:30 to 3:00pm- Teach Enrolling Basics, Enrollment Options and how to present them.

3:00 to 3:30pm- Talk about The Weekly Get-Together training, and the importance of Saturday calls.

3:30 to 4:00pm- Show how to develop a business plan so you can make money. Teach Comp Plan training. Promote all upcoming events and get people registered for Miami.

Adjourn at 4:00pm sharp. I usually do a Q & A from 4 to 5pm for any unanswered questions or concerns. Most people have stayed for this.

You will be successful if you follow the formula. Remember to engage people and create a spirited energy. Show your passion for what you do!

Legendary Athlete With A Legendary Endorsement

“How in the world did you guys get the attention of Ken Shamrock?”

“Ken Shamrock!! No way, he’s been my hero for years. You’re kidding right?”

“Ken Shamrock takes this stuff? Ok, give me a box.”

Those are just a few of the comments and questions I have heard lately after telling people about the new, unsolicited and unpaid Ken Shamrock endorsement and his from-the-heart video, so I thought I would share the answer to the first one. It was just about being in the right place at the right time, and most of all, believing in the power of the product!

Several months ago, my sister Annette Machado called and asked me to help her out with a high school wrestling camp in Bakersfield, California. She couldn’t be there, but I wanted to help out my sister and the Azevedo Hitchcock Camps with their mission to help build great athletes.

Annette said, “Oh, by the way, Ken Shamrock is coming. Can you please get some product to him?”

What … Ken Shamrock, the UFC Hall of Famer?

So I was wondering how I would do this. I thought about how great it would be for our company if Ken Shamrock endorsed our product, but I tried to imagine how many people probably approach him with products, and I didn’t know what to do.

It shifted for me while I was listening to Ken’s story and hearing his inspirational talk to the kids, especially as he told them of his uphill battle with life and being mentally and spiritually strong. In that moment, I wanted Ken Shamrock to take this wonderful product because I knew Life Shotz could make a difference for him.

I put four boxes in a Starbucks bag and gave it to him with a note, my business card, the Banned Substance Control Group flyer, and a Life Shotz brochure. I told him it was a product we all take and love and I thought he might too.

That was the end of it. No calls or emails or follow up. Several months later, our paths crossed again at the Azevedo Wrestling Camp, and we were actually at dinner with Tom Lunneborg, who had come to the camp to teach solid nutrition to the kids.

Causally at the end of the dinner, I simply asked Ken, “Hey did you ever try the product I gave you?”

He lit up and raved about the product and wanted to know where it came from, who made it and how he could get more. Tom was at the table, and that was the first time the conversation had turned to Life Shotz. Annette and I both pointed to Tom, and he and Ken discussed Life Shotz. He offered to give us a testimonial.

“I want to give you guys an endorsement for your product,” he said. “I know you’re just getting started, and I want to help you. This is a great product that can help a lot of people.”

I filmed his testimonial on a Flip Video Camera and he did it in one take … from his heart with no coaching or scripting. He loves the product and the company, and when we explained the business model, he was even more impressed that athletes can take a great product and also enroll as a rep and make money so they have more time to train.
