Rick Stambaugh Appointed to Vice President of Sales

On Saturday’s Special National Call, Janine introduced the newest member of 21TEN, Rick Stambaugh. I know I can speak for the entire 21TEN community when I say that we’re excited about the skills Rick brings to the team, and we look forward to nothing but continued growth with Rick as our Vice President of Sales.

Rick’s list of accomplishments and qualifications is long:

  • Began his Direct Selling career in 1983
  • Started full time as a Distributor selling cookware successfully until 1986 when he then joined The West Bend Company
  • Worked corporately at West Bend Company for 11 years in various capacities of sales and business development both domestically and internationally
  • Sought after by Herbalife International and accepted the position of Director of Corporate Marketing/Home Tech
  • At Herbalife he was responsible for Corporate Marketing of Herbalife’s products in the USA, Latin America, and for the Home Tech Division Globally
  • Starting in 2001, was President/CEO and minority owner of Fionda Group, LLC. A recognized leader in software solutions, communication, and benefit programs that help Direct Selling companies and their representatives realize their full potential
  • Fionda Group, LLC. originally started out providing telecommunication services, but through Rick’s vision and direction, the Fionda Group of Companies successfully transitioned from being a telecom centric company to emerging as one of the most respected companies not only in the software field, but also in the Direct Selling industry
  • Through his guidance Fionda received numerous awards and honors, including being named to INC, 500 Fastest-Growing Companies in the U.S.
  • In May 2011, he founded TekVation, LLC, a technology company specializing in custom designed software specifically for Direct Selling companies and industry
  • He is a past member of the Young Presidents Organization and sits on the board of directors for FallenWarriors.org and just recently finished his board term with the DSA.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

As an incredible field trainer, Rick will motivate and inspire 21TEN Distributors and field leaders to take action and to achieve financial freedom, and we expect to learn quite a bit at corporate, too.

Best of all, Rick began his career all those years ago as a Distributor, so he understands the nitty-gritty of the sales process. He’s had the same feelings, thoughts, and worries that we’ve all had, and he’s experienced the same elation, the same sense of accomplishment, and the same satisfaction.

He’ll have the support of the entire 21TEN team as he reaches for those goals, and we’re already looking forward to the bright, bright future.

Rick has been married 28 years to his high school sweetheart, Tina, and they have a daughter and a son.  They moved to beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, from California where they had lived for 13 years.

21TEN Vision: Who We Are

OUR VISION

You’re our vision. You’re our mission. You’re our focus. I am going to share what that means for you and the thousands of people who discover 21TEN every day.

This Vision is written as every Vision should be written: in the first-person, present tense as though it is happening right now. This Vision is a manifestation of my 35 years as a full-time Network Marketing professional and a financial and life coach. I used to cut chickens for a living, used to be an introverted, angry, broke person with no hope for an amazing future. I was on the 40/40 plan: work 40 years to retire on 40 percent of what was never enough for the first 40 years.

Network Marketing and intense personal development changed my life. It was not easy … in fact it was hard and it took years. But cutting chickens and cutting through the politics of a major corporation was even harder. And those “tough years” in Network Marketing would have gone by anyway.

There is no path to financial freedom that compares with Network Marketing. No other way where you earn on the efforts of hundreds, thousands, maybe tens of thousands, without hiring them. No other way that you can work 10 hours but get paid on thousands of hours. Yet Network Marketing is a young and burgeoning industry. It has too much fraud and greed and too many marginal products. Most companies are not designed from the beginning to last more than a few years. Most products are irrelevant or will be in a few short years. Most just plain don’t work. Yet those products and companies that do “get it” are yellow brick roads to riches for those who will dedicate themselves to mastering the arts.

Whether you want and need a few hundred in extra lifetime income or a whole lot more, whether you want to grow just a little bit every year to be a better, more attractive, more peaceful person, or whether you want a total transformation of who you are for others, you can do it here.

Announcing New Advisory Board Members

As we approach our one-year anniversary since the official launch of 21TEN, and with only 99 years to go before we hit our namesake year (2110), I have the honor of introducing our newest slate of Advisory Board members.

Returning will be Lisa Jimenez, Bob Henry, Dr. Todd Schlapfer, and Janine Avila. We are grateful for their continued support and leadership. As you know, Lisa, Dr. Todd, and Janine are deeply involved in everything we do at 21TEN, and all three are developing their own 21TEN sales groups. Their inspiration and partnership has been monumental in bringing 21TEN to its growth readiness stage. Bob Henry, although the CEO of another network marketing company, has remained a trusted confidant and champion of our vision.

Thanks to this amazing group of people, and I am honored and inspired to announce two new members to this board.

Rich Razgaitis has been a friend and confidant for the past three years. Although he is currently out of the network marketing industry, his experience, wisdom, and passion for our profession will be a powerful asset moving forward. Rich loves the entire concept of 21TEN and has been a Life Shotz evangelist since we introduced the product.

Chris Widener, as you can tell from his bio, is a New York Times best selling everything and the heir-apparent to Jim Rohn. He and Mr. Rohn collaborated on many projects and partnered on Mr. Rohn’s last book and leadership development program. Chris is the most sought after keynote speaker for the network marketing industry.

This is the first time in his storied career that Chris has chosen to build his wealth and security with a network marketing company … so imagine how many times he has been powerfully prospected!

Do You Know What The “Wow” Factor Is?

Have you enrolled enough people … failed and succeeded enough to know the “wow factor” in monetizing Network Marketing? More than that, what have you found to be the secret sauce of a Network Marketing leader?

I’ve found the following.

  1. Leaders are on fire … extra hot. Motivated. They’re someone who is “thrown” to produce for themselves and for their team.
  2. Leaders love people … and they meet them naturally with sincerity and curiosity.
  3. Leaders are credible … they’re people whose mere energy, conversation, and appearance are inspiring and credible. You can’t help but trust, admire, and respect them.

Not everyone has the moxie recipe for Network Marketing success. In fact most do not.

Sure, anyone can move a product in which they believe and make a few bucks, but to move a group of people into an enterprise like Network Marketing and keep them in place for decades takes a secret sauce.

If you have it, success will be worth millions in relatively short order. If you don’t have it, the really cool thing about Network Marketing is you can just go attract someone who does.

Are you wow blind?

Kevin asked me: “Do ‘great ideas’ possess universally some sort of Wow Factor?”

The problems with this question: What does ‘great’ mean? And who decides what ‘wow’ is?

The challenge is this: lots of people think they know what both words mean in their area of endeavor, and many of them are wrong.

Consider the case of web 2.0 companies. People like Brad Feld and Fred Wilson are brilliant at understanding what wow means from the point of view of an investor. They have great taste about what’s going to pay off. They have a sense for which teams and which ideas will actually turn into great businesses.

The peanut gallery at tech sites, though, don’t have such great abilities (if they did, they’d be Brad, not anonymous voters). As a result, they mistake consumer wow for investor wow, and often focus on the wrong attributes when they’re criticizing or congratulating a company.

This is endemic in the book business, which resolutely refuses to understand the actual P&L of most of the books it publishes. As a result, there are plenty of editors who continue to overpay for the wrong books, because their wow isn’t the market’s wow.
