Annette Machado Advances!

by Melissa Gulbranson on November 3, 2011

Break out your swimwear, Annette Machado, you’ve just earned yourself an advancement to Master and won your way onto the 21TEN Caribbean Cruise in May!

Are you wondering who sponsors the amazing and dedicated Annette? That would be the one and only Janine Avila, from Team Avilanche!

And there’s no sibling rivalry here. It’s no coincidence that these sisters- Janine and Annette- put their high energy together to create such amazing results.

So what does Janine have to say about her sister advancing?

“I am super happy to be sponsoring her and have her be a member of Team Avilanche. You know, it wasn’t until we started working together with 21TEN that I really began to know her! The funny thing is, one year ago on November 1st, I was recovering from surgery and I needed someone to take care of me. Annette went out of her way to fly up to Coeur D’Alene to help me recover. Did I mention her birthday was November 1st? What a way to celebrate … helping someone else!”

We don’t think it’s a coincidence that one year later Annette’s celebrating her birthday as a Master Director. She’s been on-fire since the day she joined us at 21TEN!

Janine tells us, “She’s a dynamo and has worked tirelessly to build a strong team of winners. Annette’s team is so powerful, they are changing the face of this business for anyone that comes within a three foot radius! They are Life Shotz evangelists! It’s my honor to say, congratulations Annette! You are now a Master Director Soul Sister!!!”

And from all of us here at 21TEN, we want to say a heartfelt congratulations to Annette. This is quite an achievement. We know this is just one of many more amazing accomplishments she’ll celebrate.

Who else is ready to advance? Let’s get pumped!

The Secret Weapon to Build Your Team

by Janine Avila on June 9, 2011

I have found a secret weapon that I have been using since January to build and bond Team Avilanche. It would be fun to say I discovered the secret formula myself, cracked the code, and developed a brand-new, never-tried-before plan, but the truth is this … the secret I found was right there for anyone to use. It was found “hidden” in the pages of every training manual Richard Brooke has ever written.

It seemed so simple. Was the secret to engaged, inspired, well-trained, profitable, and loyal Distributors really this easy?

I knew, of course, that Richard Brooke had used the very same strategy when he was building his teams, so I knew that it had worked in the past. But would it work now, in 2011, when we live radically different lifestyles than we did just a few years ago? I thought about what I knew was necessary for momentum and growth. I pondered how to create leaders and to find a simple system that would duplicate. Something anyone could do.

The secret? Weekly Get-Togethers.

In January I began my first 21TEN Weekly Get-Together locally. Since my house is out of the way a bit, I let my team know I was looking for a place to host a weekly team gathering. I let them know it would need to be in the same place and time every week … “whether we felt like it or not.”

Steven Machado of Tulare, CA, stepped up. He offered his office conference room in Tulare, which is a central location for most of our team. I picked the day that worked best for me. Why? Because I knew I would be the one showing up, every week. I selected 6 PM as the start time and decided it would last two good hours so people could get home at a decent hour.

Steve agreed and we began.

We set a table of prizes and gave everyone tickets to our “on time” drawing. The prize table was heaped with fun prizes to choose from, toys and gifts to keep smiles on the faces at home or business building tools and office supplies for their growing business. I still remember DJ Dicks, one of our team members, running in at 5:59 carrying his dinner plate from home. “Did I make it?”

We wanted it to be fun and to provide good training and direction, and this was a good value for Distributor’s time.

They came back again and again, and together we shared and learned and bonded. We were consistent. Then the day came when Kyle Porter broke off and began his own Weekly Get-Together at his home in Exeter. And then Steve advanced to Senior and I knew it was time, and with a gentle nudge from Richard, this mother hen got off the nest.

When I stopped going, I coached and praised Steve, let him know he was ready, and gave him ideas and a plan. I let him know I was available by text or phone if he needed me.

What I see now is the business duplicating and leaders being built and born. The Weekly Get-Together is the glue that holds the team together and keeps them focused on 21TEN and Life Shotz. This is so important in a time when there are so many demands for our Distributors’ attention.

I used the mindset I read about in Pour Your Heart into It, the story of Starbucks, by Howard Shultz. The mission was to grow bigger while staying small. Small enough that everyone felt comfortable and knew each other and big enough to be profitable and attractive.

We now have started a Weekly Get-Together in Bakersfield with Richard Barnett’s group, and I have my sights set on Merced. I plan to have Weekly Get-Togethers going all up and down the state of California and across the country.

Steve shared his story on the call last Saturday about what the Weekly Get-Together did for him and his team and how he felt when started to fly solo. You can hear this specially recorded call by calling the replay line at 712.432.7503 and entering the pin 43278#; the recording number is 006411#.

Below I have copied the exact formula I used to get started. This is the secret, so don’t make excuses. Find a way to get it done, and you will reap the rewards in six months. Guaranteed! Set a date and time and location that works for you and get the ball rolling.

And if you need help to get started, I am happy to support you!

The Business Builder's Weekly Get-Together

The foundation of your business is the relationships you build with people in your group and your leaders. By relationships we mean your friendship and understanding, your empathy, respect, trust, and admiration for the people with whom you work.

Although relationships can be created over the phone or at big public meetings, they pale in comparison to the quality and strength of relationships built in person. It is therefore imperative that you participate either as a supporter or as a leader of Weekly Get-Togethers.

These meetings provide the opportunity for you and others to become friends and close business associates, as well as provide you with a fertile training source.

Weekly Get-Togethers:

  1. Are informal sit-down meetings.
  2. There are no public presentations.
  3. They are held in free and comfortable locations, such as restaurants, living rooms, offices, or other meeting facilities.
  4. They are held at the exact same place, on the same day, at the same time every week to insure a clear understanding of where and when.
  5. They last 1½ to 2 hours.
  6. A minimum of two and a maximum of twelve people should attend.
  7. When more than twelve people consistently show up, the leader with the most people should start another meeting at a different location, day, and time.
  8. The agenda of the meeting is decided by the leaders and should include:
    • The latest announcements from Corporate
    • Successful sales and sponsoring ideas
    • Problem solving
    • Coaching individuals on breaking through
    • Planning upcoming events
    • Promoting upcoming corporate events
    • Product and recruitment training

Getting started is easy, and it can make all the difference!

Persistence and Follow-up Pays Off

by Janine Avila on April 30, 2011

I was so excited the other day when I got a call . . . well, several actually, and an email and a text message, from Scott Common in Las Vegas.

I have always loved working with Scott. His sense of humor and personality are all about people and fun. He has stayed the course and was mostly interested in Oxyfresh until he saw the new Life Shotz video and then went online and listened to the call in which Richard Brooke interviewed me. Those two things fired him up, he got on the product, and as you will see, he is in full blown action now and spreading Life Shotz fever around Vegas.

He took a LOOK.

He LISTENED.

And then he took ACTION.

It’s a perfect model for what we do, and Scott’s story can inspire your entire team!

Read the Story Letter that Scott sends and let it inspire you.

I used to wake up two times a night. I also had a very annoying problem of crashing big-time in the afternoon. I was forced to stop my truck, pull over, and take a stinking 20-minute nap. Give me a break!

Well, Life Shotz has solved the problem for me. I haven’t changed a thing about my life other than taking Life Shotz. I took it daily for three days with no real apparent change, then on the fourth day I really noticed.

Now my energy is calm . . . but constant. My mind is much sharper. I don’t really understand how this is so. It just is. I feel like I can think faster and much more clearly. And with the many health conditions in my body (glaucoma, arthritis, and the general aging of a 49-year-old dude), it’s really great to know I’ve got an army of anti-oxidant soldiers running throughout my body beating the heck out of free radicals. Cool . . . very cool.

Point: this dude will be using Life Shotz for life because it flat out works. For under $3 a day, this is the ultimate insurance policy. I get to feel like an 18-year-old again!

Oh! And not to forget, I love the fact it has 2,000 IUs of vitamin D. The research coming out about why it’s so important to get vitamin D is incredible. Vitamin D is a MUST for keeping me calm in the storm—what a great basketball coach called “the emotional flat line.” I like that.

I trust Life Shotz to deliver the nutrients into my body because of its three unique and powerful catalysts.

FIRST TO MARKET! Very cool.

One last thing: if this product works for you—and we know it will if you give it at least a week—and if you want to get your product for free, all you’ve got to do, if you’re compelled to share the good news, is locate five people who are tired, stressed, and/or depressed who may want their own shot at getting their life back. And when they start using the product daily, guess what? It’s like you start getting yours FOR FREE! Now that’s very cool.

When was the last time Hollywood or your favorite restaurant PAID YOU for recommending their products? Uh . . . that would be NEVER. Not so with 21TEN.

21TEN has a money-back guarantee if you’re not completely satisfied, but I’m extremely confident you will literally FEEL a difference within a week.

Are you prepared to feel incredible? What will you do with all your new energy, mental clarity, and improved mood? Skydive? Travel to Timbuktu? Run for president? Climb Kilimanjaro? Bark at the moon? It will be your choice.

You can write a great story letter like Scott’s, too!

Why you might want to come to Phoenix in May …

by Richard Brooke on March 4, 2011

Let me tell you a story. It may help you understand why, if your desire and vision for you and 21TEN is to build your own residual income empire, then coming to Phoenix in May is just mandatory. Here is why.

Five years ago, I had the opportunity to invite Janine Avila to join our corporate team. She had been in and out of the network marketing industry for many years and had a wonderful reputation as an inside advocate for the field … someone who could really represent Distributors in all the corporate strategy meetings.

It was not easy to convince Janine, the California girl, to leave her family and move to northern Idaho. But it was springtime, and we put our best foot forward. She joined our team as VP of Training and has been a magnificent leader and contributor to the field ever since.

This past fall (after losing, by the way, over 100 pounds) Janine started getting restless. She recognized the Phil Jackson endorsement as one of THE most significant edges any network marketing company had ever given its field force. She also recognized that our brand-new field force in 21TEN needed leadership … they needed someone to show them how it’s done.

Janine resigned her post in December and moved back to California to be close to her family. Her declaration was that she was going to show people how it was done and build her very own residual income empire. And she is off to a magnificent start.

In January nine people joined her new team. Eight of them purchased Business Builders Kits (BBK). In February, 31 more joined—28 of them with BBKs. Janine advanced to Master and created over $20,000 in new sales. In addition she created a new Executive, four Jr. Executives, two Directors, and a Manager.

Janine led this charge with nothing but a clear vision and commitment to create a firestorm. She did it with non-network marketers … just local friends and family. She did it with weekly get-togethers, three-way calls, and all of the existing tools we offer. She did not create or use any other system.

Anyone can do what she has done.

You need to come to Phoenix because Janine and her firestorm of new leaders will be there. You need to hear what they are doing and how they are doing it. You need to come to Phoenix because all it takes for you to build your own empire is for you to have your own “ah-ha” moment … your own eureka, your own epiphany, your own defining moment.

The difference between those who make and it and those who just talk about it is putting yourself in the position to have one of those defining moments. These moments don’t happen while sitting at home, thinking about it, or worrying about it. They come when you are present and in the midst of others who are inspired.

All you need to claim your own success is to get close to the fire … and let a spark ignite you. All you need to do is warm yourself enough for you to say to yourself … “I CAN DO THIS. I WILL DO THIS.” And then, regardless of the obstacles in the way or the method of operation you choose, it tends to get done.

The actions themselves aren’t all that hard. Getting to a place that lets you declare no matter what, you are going to get it done … now that is sometimes the hard part. And it never happens when you are alone or around others that are worried or negative or apathetic.

Come to the fire in Phoenix. Come be around those WINNERS that will have just returned from the Preserve in Carmel. Bring your group with you.

We are going to have a lot of fun, and I guarantee you will be inspired.

Building Momentum

by Janine Avila on February 16, 2011

I had my defining moment in late November when I faced a major decision. I knew that if I were to quit my day job, it would take massive action to replace my income. I also knew how much I loved the freedom of being an independent Distributor. Since I made my choice, I have been playing full out.

I started to host weekly get-togethers via conference call every Saturday morning in both Oxyfresh and 21TEN—whether I feel like it or not. Sure, I have had some slim calls during the holidays, but I kept hosting them knowing that I would build momentum just by being consistent. I made a promise to myself to send out weekly inspirational emails to my team so they would hear from me and perhaps rekindle their fires.

That was just the start.

Now my number one focus is building momentum for my team. I know what success takes and I am committed and willing to do what success requires. I am willing to make the sacrifices, and I am looking for people who are willing to do the same. That’s why I made a personal commitment to take massive action and talk to new people every day—no matter what, whether I feel like it or not.

I have now identified people in my existing team who tell me that they, too, want to build momentum. I request something I call “Plans and Actions” from everyone who tells me they want to build so I can see how they plan to do it, and I dedicate a certain amount of time each day to inspire someone on the team. Every day I do this—you guessed it—whether I feel like it or not.

I made the promise to myself that I would succeed no matter what happened. Whatever challenges, tragedies, technical glitches, or problems I faced, I vowed to overcome them. I am committed because this is the path I have chosen to create the life of my dreams. I have daily goals, quarterly goals, and an annual goal. And to keep them fresh and meaningful, I read and review the goals daily. It keeps me in action.

I get up each day and dress for business. By 4:30am I’m awake and working the time zones. I have people on Atlantic time which is four hours ahead of me, then I do Eastern, then Central, Mountain, and Pacific, then Hawaii.

I have created a group Skype account so I can have face time and show people materials and see what is going on, but I limit time on Facebook. I get on and love it, but I use my kitchen timer to remind me when it is time to get off. Facebook is fun, and it is addicting. But it is a non-income producing activity, and I only use technology to produce income.

I am happy and in action, and people around me want some of what I have. They see my smile, and I never complain. Complaining is an insidious habit that erodes your joy, and because of it people begin to avoid you. It’s not good for business or for your outlook on life. Instead I focus on personal and professional growth every day. Mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

You can do everything I’ve done, and if you do, you’ll have the same success.

  1. Set goals: daily, quarterly, yearly, and even longer, and read them every day.
  2. Host weekly calls or get-togethers.
  3. Talk to new people every day, no matter what.
  4. Send short, weekly inspirational emails to your team.
  5. Identify the people who want to work as hard as you do.
  6. When you find these people, help them build their leadership abilities and their business. Do it every day.
  7. Dress as if you are a successful business person. You are! Even if you’re not going to leave the house, this small step sets the stage for every day’s business.
  8. Use technology wisely: let technology make you more productive (Skype) without sucking your time (Facebook).
  9. Never complain. Everything you do today means more freedom tomorrow.
  10. Focus on personal and professional development every day.

You can achieve your goals, but you have to work for them, and you have to work for your goals every day. In the end successful people do what unsuccessful people aren’t willing to do: action.
