Breaking News for Life Shotz and Vitamin D

by Tom Lunneborg on December 9, 2010

Hey there!

Did you hear the news about vitamin D? Finally, after mountains of research, the government has increased the recommended daily amount for vitamin D. This news isn’t a surprise to your research and development team at 21TEN. We expected this shift. That’s why your credibility is glowing right now.

So how much vitamin D do people think we need? Well, new recommendations say we need at least 600 to 800 I.U., but the experts at Harvard say 1,000 to 2,000 I.U. should be our conservative target—especially if you’re not in the sun every day. And they even admit that those levels will likely have to rise in the face of the research that’s now taking place.

We studied volumes of research on vitamin D because we needed every aspect of Life Shotz to be cutting edge. Life Shotz had to improve everyone’s health, and this could only happen by using proper amounts of each ingredient. We built Life Shotz with 2,000 I.U. of vitamin D per serving because that’s where the science took us. There are literally thousands of vitamin D studies that show the benefits of vitamin D intake at this level. It truly is a life-changing amount of a key vitamin.

Check out this article
from USA Today that talks about how hard it is to meet even the 800 I.U. recommendations without supplements. It’s clear to see that Life Shotz definitely fills an urgent need in most peoples’ diets.

The new daily requirement is a bump in the right direction, but it is still below 2,000 I.U. Over the coming years, and as more researchers look into the benefits of vitamin D, and as more and more doctors call for higher vitamin D intake, that the level will increase again. The government is slow, but it eventually catches up with science.

Taking ownership of your health and partnering with 21TEN will keep you on the road to success in health and wellness.

Give the gift of health this season.

You Look Great!

by Tom Lunneborg on September 14, 2010

Our appearance is paramount.
It is the first thing someone notices when they meet you. It can make or break job interviews, careers, dating and influence many other parts of our lives. One of the biggest things our appearance impacts is our confidence. Take a moment and imagine how you feel on the day you wear a brand new outfit and had your hair professionally cut and styled. You look like a million bucks. You carry yourself differently. Why? Because you are confident in your appearance. Do you remember one of those days? One where you were unstoppable?

Now imagine that same scenario. Your outfit is still incredible, but this time imagine yourself with dull, damaged hair, skin blemishes and broken, cracked, unhealthy nails. Is your confidence still booming? Or did that just take you down a few notches because you are worried people will be focusing on your flaws? How much differently would you perform without the confidence in your appearance?

The scenarios I just laid out happen for all of us. We do have power over which scenario plays out. Life Shotz provides essential nutrients for healthy hair, nails and skin. The powerful B vitamin complex combined with zinc and magnesium fuel the body and our appearance.

Vitamins B3, B5, B6, B12, magnesium and zinc all play a role in healthy hair growth. These vitamins and minerals help our body maintain a full, healthy head of hair. They also help hair grow faster. Life Shotz just so happens to have all of these vitamins and minerals.

Your skin and nails are barometers for your body’s state of health. This can often be the first areas a doctor inspects when attempting to diagnose an ailment. Vitamins B12, folic acid and zinc are important micronutrients for your body to maintain strong, healthy nails. Zinc works to clear skin by regulating oil production. This may be effective in controlling the formation of acne and help clear up acne quicker. Yes, you guessed it, Life Shotz also has you covered on B12, folic acid and zinc.

Nutrition plays an extremely important role in every function of our body. This goes right down to the tips of our fingers and toes, literally! Life Shotz restores a wide range of micronutrients but one of the best things it restores could be confidence!

Who do you know that is concerned about their appearance? Who could you help by sharing this story and Life Shotz? I’m betting your opportunities are endless.

To Your Health,

Tom

If You Ignore This, You’ll Regret It

by Tom Lunneborg on September 2, 2010

Hi 21TENers!

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you’ve heard the fans of Life Shotz beating the vitamin D drum. Naturally we’re promoting our product and its awesome dose of vitamin D, but the more important message we are promoting is health. We are not alone. The science and health industry is championing the power of vitamin D.

Vitamin D continues to make headlines. Almost every week for the last two years I have received new articles, studies, and discoveries about the benefits of vitamin D, and the frequency of these articles seems to be picking up. Science is narrowing their focus. The importance of vitamin D is indisputable.

Recently CBS News reported on a study conducted by a team of English and Canadian scientists. The study discovered a detailed map of the molecular interactions between vitamin D and certain genes. This map shows extensive connections between vitamin D and genes associated with cancer and autoimmune disease.

“Genes involved in autoimmune disease and cancer were regulated by vitamin D,” the study’s author, Dr. Sreeram Ramagopalan of Oxford University, told WebMD.

Just today, Dr. Andrew Weil’s newsletter was on vitamin D and your immune system. His letter stressed the importance of supplementing with vitamin D daily, especially since our immune system cannot function efficiently without adequate vitamin D. If our defense system isn’t firing on all cylinders, we are at an increased risk for infection and sickness. Dr. Weil also addressed the fact that low levels of vitamin D have been associated with a higher than normal risk of chronic disease.

The bittersweet news for all Life Shotz devotees is that an estimated 70% of the U.S. population is deficient in vitamin D. The bitter part is knowing how poor the average diet is. The sweet part is knowing we have the answer. We have the perfect tool to naturally help people have the most extraordinary health.

Dr. Ramagopalan of Oxford University recommends 2,000 I.U. of vitamin D per day. That just so happens to be the exact amount we use in each serving of Life Shotz. We did our homework when we created Life Shotz. Now you can reap the benefits and share health with everyone. You don’t have to be able to tell a whopper story about how zowiewowiemumbojumbo fruit was discovered on a distant land. You simply can share stories and articles or turn on your evening news to hear about the power of vitamin D. Science just so happens to be on our side.

To your health,

Tom

Does Everyone Need to Take Nutrition Supplements?

by Tom Lunneborg on May 4, 2010

Yes.

I suppose you want a more long winded answer.  The honest truth is yes.  You and everyone you know should be supplementing with vitamins and minerals daily.  If you aren’t, you are setting yourself up for failure.  A failure that could prove to be very costly physically and financially.

Our food sources are not what they used to be a century ago.  Every year that goes by we deplete our soils of the very minerals we need.  This means that the fresh fruits and vegetables most of you are not consuming daily are deficient.  We also deplete our own bodies of these key nutrients by the use of common medications, alcohol and consistently following a poor diet.

If you truly are investing in yourself, you need to be supplementing.  The data supporting it is overwhelming.  Investing in your health and sharing your discovery with others will prove to be one of the most profitable moves you ever make.

I believe in a healthy diet full of fresh foods and daily nutrition supplementation.  I want to hear what you think.  Agree?  Disagree?  Post below.

The Beauty of Vitamin D

by Tom Lunneborg on March 31, 2010

Sunshine

You'll need more than warm rays to get your daily dose of vitamin D.

The sunshine vitamin will continue to gain the world spot light in 2010.   It continued to gain steam throughout 2009. Vitamin D has already been linked to bone health, muscle strength, bolstering the immune system and lowering the risk of several cancers.  New studies are continuing to be started focusing on the power of Vitamin D.  In January of 2010 the National Insitutes of Health began recruiting for a $20 million, five-year study examining whether vitamin D supplements at 2,000 I.U. per day can reduce the risk of developing cancer, heart disease and stroke.  New scientific discoveries will be made from research like this and many others.  Guess what?  Life Shotz is formulated with 2,000 I.U. of vitamin D per serving.  We did our homework.

The scary part is most of us are vitamin D deficient.  Even if we are exposed to daily sunlight our bodies simply aren’t creating enough vitamin D.  Products like lotions and sun blocks are vital to protect our skin, but they also inhibit our absorption of vitamin D.   The condition is even worse in northern states during the winter.  Sun exposure during those months is limited or non existent.  A popular theory ties the timing of cold and flu season to the lack of vitamin D production during the winter.

You must supplement with vitamin D to reap the benefits science has already proven, and be in the driver’s seat when additional scientific breakthroughs happen.  The recommended daily allowance of vitamin D is grossly low.  I believe we will see that requirement increased in the next few years.  In 2008 the American Academy of Pediatrics doubled its daily vitamin D recommendation for infants and children.  The research and discussions are readily available.  You don’t have to just take my word for it.

Take control of your health!  This is simply one of many reasons to never miss your Life Shotz.
